A shout for help...

Okay so this is for all you Mom's out there. Lately I feel like I'm having such a hard time with Sadie. It's not like she's naughty or anything she is such a good girl and always so happy. The problem is I feel like I have a hard time finding things to entertain her... If I gave her playdough she would eat it...and she's not quite old enough to frost cookies... She does help me in the kitchen quite a bit though with her own little pots and pans, and I try to take her outside to play when it's warm but that hasn't been very often, anyway I guess what I'm asking is for those of you who I are or have or know how to entertain a 1 1/2 year old would you mind giving me some ideas...Like I said she is such a good little girl I just feel bad because even though she loves it I feel like she ends up in front of the T.V. watching The Little Mermaid more often then she should! So any suggestion is welcome!

I don't have any suggestions sorry, I'm in the same boat! Reese doesn't stay entertained with something for more than a minute or two. Good luck I'll also be looking at everyones suggestions.

You seriously nailed it on the head. I am grateful that Jane loves books so they keep her entertained for quite a while. I also tape a big sheet of paper onto a desk or table and let her go to town with a crayon. I have set up a few obstacle courses for her to climb all over (use pillows, boxes, chairs, etc.). She loves that. Hmmmm what else?? Pretty much her cousins keep her entertained. We do well if I can just get her out of the house for a few hours of the day. Let me know what you learn!

Okay, I absolutely love the Color Wonder coloring books. Deakin started with those when he was about one and they are so great because you don't have to worry about the mess. Deakin is a major colorer so he's always loved them. Addy likes them too even though she's not quite the colorer.

We loved all the parks and trails there. Bubbles are always good for a while. Bubble guns are great so you don't have to blow them all day.

Mostly, I know how you feel. It can be hard with a little one who wants all your time. I would say to enjoy it as much as you can. I try to tell myself there will be a time when they don't want to play with me. And having another one always helps to give them someone to play with. :)
