So here is the house (duplex) notice I tried to leave out the house number...
You'll notice that I'm in dyer need of some decorating input... all my walls are bare. And in all honestly I'm sort of lacking motivation. We are hoping to buy a place of our own within a year or so and the thought of pulling everything down again and re-doing it later really just makes me tired. But I can't live in a house for 6 months to a year with out it feeling like home. So any advice or suggestions any one has please feel free to share!

Master Bath
Okay now I am really really needing some help with these next two things... I have had this table going on almost 6 years and with all of the moving and having things in storage I haven't gotten around to doing anything with it. Now for your advice... is it even worth hanging on to or do I junk it? I always just thought it would be so fun in a breakfast nook or entry way or something (I don't know I'm not creative) Now if I do keep it...what do I do with it? Paint it white? Black? Or are those just to same old same old? Do I go more bold and brave and to a baby blue or a mustard yellow ect. ect.? Any ideas will be appreciated. Please Share your thoughts!
(The sides of the table fold up and latch...)

And this my friends is NOT a Joke...I repeat it is NOT a joke! What the heck am I suppose to do with all this? It is a tad messier than normal because at 10:00 last night I had to dig through things and find my sewing machine. And I didn't get it all "thrown" back together. But seriously we didn't bring any of our book cases or our computer desk. Is it just me or do all things used to organize our lives add up in money? I mean I have of list of stuff to get for the baby so I'm hoping to use my money on that...{Not on new book shelves) but then again this IS suppose to be the baby's room... in this mess where am I supposed to put a baby? I dont' think it would be so bad if our closets had shelves. To be fair though all but about four of those boxes on the right hand side of this photo are food storage but I'm afraid it's to warm to keep it in the garage.
Okay so if anyone knows anywhere to buy some good storage shelves, equipment, organizational ideas...you get the idea please let me know about them. I would greatly appreciate it before I loose my mind in this nasty mess!

It is hot to keep food storage outside, but I know some people that do it. We keep ours in the pantry, but we also don't have a ton. You can get cheap plastic shelves that might fit in your closet, but otherwise shelves are expensive and I would try craigslist or garage sales. It's hard to move and find a place for everything. I'm not one to have any decorating help, good luck!
I like your old table. I have seen them paint them black and do the legs like a red color. You will find something to do with it that is super cute I'm sure. Keep us up on that! Sorry about your food storage and the room issue. I hope you find something! Good luck! Your house is super cute! I'm not planning on moving ANY time soon, and I still don't want to decorate our house. I just want someone with that special touch to come in and do it for me... for FREE.. ha I wish. anyway take care!
ok, so here's my thoughts on the table. Repaint it for sure. And depending on how big your bedroom is you could put it in there, with the sides still down and then put some books on it, and then just a bunch of family pictures. I did that with the top of our dresser and then put some seashells around it and the flower things from our wedding cake and it's way cute. Or you could put a table cloth over, stick your food storage underneath and no one would be the wiser. You could check Wal-mart for storage shelving. I know they've got to have something for closets. Also I like putting curtains up and what we've done is decided what are decorating style is going to be like and the colors we want to use and then buy things to match. That way when we move to a new place we don't have a problem. And if you're buying a place then you can paint the walls whatever, so it really won't be much of a problem. Yeh...so far that's all my ideas. Good luck with it all, I'm still in the unpacking stage too, so you're not alone! ;)Luv ya.
Hey Kate, So some ideas for curtains: (you've seen mine so you can have an idea of what I mean) I would get some material in solid colors that will match the over all room colors you are doing and pin (big straight pins) them above and to the side of the windows. To do the sides you gather the top of the fabric and tie it with a rubberband then hook the band over the pin that's shoved into the window casing. Then the material can be used in your next home the same way of reused as something to sew, no waiste. I use as a bambo stick in my bedroom for the over the top/across the window for the rod. It's light and can be held up by the pins. But, you can find a cute stick or something.
For the walls: Your wreaths and vynal sighns are easy to put up and take down, mirrors, just put one--three things on a wall in each room,it will add up and still be simple for you to take down.
Storage: go to the grocery store and get the short boxes that soda cans, food cans are in (about 2 inches high on the sides) and then it's easy to slide across the carpet. Put the filled boxes under your bed. Things in the middle where it's hard to reach need to be the stuff that you aren't going to use or seldom do use.
The table would look great the mustard yellow, but if you know what colors for sure you're going to use in you future fam/din/kit then pick a mutual accent color to paint it. I like the idea to put a woody flowal ceter piece with something metal accented piece and pitures around it...cute.
Hope this helps. Let me know what you do...Laci
Oh, I forgot, maybe put your big black table in the middle of your kitchen and then paint your small on leave the sides down and put it where your table is now....
It was so good to hear from you!! I can't believe how big your little lady is. She is adorable. It looks like you guys are doing so good. You have to fill me in on where you are and what is going on for you guys now. It has been so long. Sorry my blog is so out dated!! I need to do better on that again! Hope all is well. Take Care!
I love your blog. Sadie is so cute and congratulations on another baby. How do you like being so far from home? An old roommate of mine that graduated in interior design was talking about this website, http://www.designspongeonline.com/ there is a before and after section that has a few cool ideas and pictures. They restore or make new things out of the old. It might get your creative juices flowing. It was good to here from you and find each other in the blogging world.
what a great house. I didn't know you were expecting!!! maybe we could actually see someones baby before they turn 2!! definitely don't store your food storage outside, you live in Texas!! to many bugs, humidity and heat. get some blocks and raise your bed. it works great, or in master closets etc. As far as shelves, or decoration have you looked at IKEA. they have their big sale right now. they have one here in houston and have great curtains as well. the table is adorable. lots of potential. Good luck. what ever you do it always turns out great.
