We arrived at the hospital at 5:15 Thursday morning. The receptionist said they were pretty busy it would be about 20 minutes or so and while we were waiting someone in actual labor came in and got our room. So we finally got taken back to a room around 9:30 they had me all hooked up and ready to go by 10:30 or 11:00. I was at a 4 when we got there and once I got my potossum (sp?) my contractions started right away and were consistant. I got my epidural around 1:30 and at 2:30 I was dialated to a 6 at 3:45 I was ready to push. So we got the nurse and stuff to come back in and get me started and my Doctor left for a minute to go to a quick apointment after about 15-20 minutes pushing they had to make me stop and call Dr. Sulak to come back in. After she got there I pushed about 10 more minutes and little Ben was here.

Everything went so smoothly and so great! My epidural worked FANTASTIC I didn't throw up even once...the only thing that went wrong was I had to get stuck 3 times for my IV. Definately could have been worse. We are just so glad he is here healthy and happy! Sadie absolutely adores him and would get upset anytime a nurse or doctor would come in the room to check his vitals. She would say "No, my broder. No take him" she even cried a few times. I wondered how she would do out of the hospital enviroment but even now that were home she is still loving him!

Oh and the name...Eli was reading a Louis Lamore book while I was in labor and asked me if I liked Ben. I told him Ben Bee was to short we would have to got with Benjamin. And then after a good 24 hours of trying to decide we both loved it more than the others we had talked about. And he does totally look like a Ben to me!
