Decisions decisions...

Well there is a lot of decision making going on at the Bee house hold! Having your own house is fun but it's also MORE fun when you have family close by to help you make the decorating decisions. So since you are my blog family and some of you my literal family. I had to ask your opinions!

Sadies Room.
Ok so a friend gave us this bed set for free so and I was trying to decide what color to pull out of it. I was afraid to paint her room THAT pink. I mean that's pretty bright and then I wasnt sure if a lighter pink would clash with the quilt. So I thought it would be fun to bring out the blue and then accent with pinks and whites. So I picked up a sample can The first picture doesn't do the brightness of the blue justice-the second picture is closer to real life.

What do you think? to bright? Ok? Not your favorite and I should go lighter blue or just go ahead and do pink or something? The green really isn't an option it's to limey for me. And again I'm afraid that a sage color would clash.

One more thing. We aren't sure about it yet but Eli and I have talked about painting our room kindof a grayish blue..is that dumb to have to blue rooms? Cuz we also thought about green.
On a side note: I have not forgotten Ben. His room will be tan like the rest of the house because it goes perfect with his bedding. But I will be having my sister make me a cute horse shoe/ cowboy hat border in vinyl so go around the room.

Now moving on...we have finished sanding down the floor in Bens room. And this is the stain we picked up at the store the other day. Here is our sample spot. (don't worry we will be replacing the board with holes in it :)
So my question... Do you think it's dark enough? I don't want really dark because we have done that before and it leaves to many footprints and whatever we do in Bens room is going to be what we do in the rest of the house. I do like that this stain brings out the natural tones in each piece of wood but I just needed an opion because I don't like natural colored wood and just want to make sure this is dark enough. If not it's super easy to run to Lowes and grab a different color! So be honest! I am kinda loving that one dark board tho..so warm and gorgeous kindof more cottagy...HELP!!!

That's it for now. Thanks guys! Any advice you can give would be helpful!

Love the blue for Sadie's room. I think it looks good with the quilt. I would go with a darker stain for the floor, not a lot darker, but a little, and maybe try for a red tint, not bright red, just enough to give it a little more warmth. (the yellow just looks cold to me!) Those are my opinions! Hope they help!

My opinion:
A think that a soft pink wouldn't be too pinky in Sadie's room.
I don't have enough knowledge about the stain for the floor. But, I think it looks fine.

I think a light yellow would be perfect for Sadie's room... I guess that wasn't one of your options, but that's my opinion.

And the stain looks nice, but I always like just a little darker, and a slight reddish tint.

We need to come visit again so we can see it in person!

Kate!! I love this, it feels just like the old days!! Anyway I do like the blue, it's not too bright at all!! And I like blue cause it's not the usual pink and green you always see, but then you can tie in a lot of pink and green accessories. Also, the floor looks good to me:). But if you do decide to go with the popular opinion of darker and redder that would be pretty too. Good luck, let's see how it goes!

I don't think there's anything wrong with the blue color you picked out for Sadie. Carlee's room is blue too and then her bedding has pink and stuff in it. It's really cute!

Thanks everyone! I knew I could count on you! I will think on all your opinions and decide what I should do! Oh and the floor really isn't quite as yellow as it looks in the pictures but maybe I will get what more sample just to try. Thanks again guys!

I LOVE the color in Sadie's room. The thing I really like about it, is you can put any color with it. I think it would be really cute to accent with really bright colors, but thats just me, I love bright colors. Like bright pinks and yellows and greens. Also for the wood, I have to say I love dark floors but I do understand what you mean about them being so messy. We lived in a house with hard wood floors only for a while and it was impossible to keep clean. I would also go with the light in an attempt to keep it cleaner, plus it is cute.
