Benjamin

So one morning I noticed a little bug bite on Bens cheek but it was just tiny so no big deal. Then when he woke up that afternoon from his nap it was a little puffy and I thought that's weird he must have slept on that side and maybe the heat irritated it. Well the next morning when he woke up it looked like this..

So I took him into the Dr.s Office and she gave him some antibiotics and some steriods. He loved the antibiotics that I think tasted a bit like bubblegum :) The Steroids however were another story and even when tempting him with the chance to get a sucker after taking them he wouldn't do it. I think he probably took 1 1/2 days worth out of five the rest of it he spit out and it ended up on his shirt. Over the following few days he got to bug bites on his leg one on his elbow and one on his hand. All of them swelled up like the first. Then he just sortof quite getting them. I assumed they were misquitos at first but now that he hasn't gotten any for a while I'm wondering if they were something else. However we haven't been out with Eli to ride horses again since he had them so bad so I wondered if maybe they were ant bites or something from there. They didn't even seem to bother him he never itched them or anything and walked around with a smile on his face the whole time he had them. Weird. Anyway we are just glad he hasn't had anymore.
He loves his baths and was so mad one day because I had given him one earlier and put Sadie in that afternoon. Well I went to put something in the garbage and when I came back this is what I found. Such a little stinker! He climbed in clothes and all. He's such a funny little guy.
His all time favorite things right now are being outside or being in the water. (either bathtub or swimming pool) He still enjoys helping his dad work with tools on the house, and he loves to watch his animal show at nights before he goes to bed. It's the one show I have actually seen him sit down to watch and he will watch it multiple times. He still doesn't say a whole lot, just a lot of the basic words. However the other day he did say "I won't" when I told him not to eat something. And last night Grandma Linda asked him what his name was and he said "I Benamin" which really surprised me! I think he can say more than he lets on but he is just leaving us in suspense. He loves to do his animal sounds. Horses, kittens, dogs, especially the rooster, and the cow. He is full of energy and smiles and just brings a smile to our faces. Him and Sadie have been playing so well together and it's so fun to watch them love and take care of each other.
