And so it begins...

So this week Sadie is playing with her new Playdough she got for her birthday and I thought I would take a picture. Here's the convo...
Me: "Sadie look at Mom and say playdough"
S: Nothing
Me: "Sadie look at Mommy and say playdough"
S: Nothing
Me: Sadie please look at Mommy and say playdough"
Sadie "Mo_um...I busy!"
Oh I'm sorry! What was I thinking?
More conversations from the last week...I know that none of them may seem really funny, exciting, or amazing to any of you. But seriously she is just talking up a storm. Sentences and all. And sometimes I just look at her amazed at what's coming out of that little mouth. Half of the cuteness is her attitude and facial expressions while she's talking. I really need to document them better but here's a few from memory.
Grandma Connie: "You have a really fun room to play in."
Sadie "I sure do!"
Eli helping her play with her new snap and style doll.
E: "Can you put the dress on her"
S: "Yah I tink I can"
She also says hamburger like "Hambook" and for some reason is fascinated by them and gets sooo excited when she sees one or someone says it! Don't know why..... she doesn't like to eat them. She likes to eat the buns with cheese on them...that's about it.
Scriptures is said "Scrip-eeps" Love when she says that. We have the BOM stories with the pictures and have been trying to read them everynight. She actually sits really still for them and loves us to read them to her!
I had Ben's diapers from the night sitting on the changing table the other day...and she comes in and starts counting them. "1 2 3" Okay so I know it may not be that huge of a deal because she always hears "Sadie I'm gonna count to 3" So I know she knows the numbers but it's the fact that she knows what they mean and that you put numbers to objects...(am I making any sense) Really you try to teach them these things but you never really know if they're getting it. And then when they do it or say it....your like "Wo-ah! were did that come from?"
Sadie when she wants to share with you "One a you" (one for you) or sometimes it's
"One a me"
Then the other day I'm changing Ben's diaper and he squirted a little bit...and I'm kinda like "aaaah" and I hurry and throw a diaper over him. A few days later...changing Ben's poopy diaper again
Me: "Eeew"
Sadie "Oh Mommy Ben a poopin' on you?" (with this nasty little look on her face)
This morning she has a hair straightener and is playing with my hair while I'm feeding Ben. Then she puts it over by Bens head.
Me: "Oh Sadie, no Ben doesn't have any hair"
S: "Mommy were is it"
Me: "Sometimes little babies don't have hair and he will grow some when he get's bigger"
(with a look of question on her face)
S: "It stuck in his head?"

It all seems funny, amazing, and exciting to me. I love it! Don't you just love how their little minds work? I love the "I sure can." Mary said that for weeks, and it was sooo cute.

Those stories are too funny! I love hearing things like that and it makes me excited for when Carlee starts saying all kinds of cute and crazy things!
