Okay so Saturday we took Sadie to the Zoo for her birthday! She loved it even more than last time. When we left I asked her what her favorite thing was and she said it was the "barny deer" (bambi deer) helloooo of all the elephants, monkeys, giraffes... she likes the deer? Whatever...
It was pretty cool actually having the Lion be that close up...last time it was like a mile away! They had a sign there with a picture of a Lion and when you pushed his paw he would growl. I thought she would be scared of it but she LOVED it! And kept pushing it over and over again.
Eli was taking a picture of us in the Teepee but the teepee isn't in it...is that how you spell teepee?
Of course we had to get a picture of Ben on his first trip to the zoo...he slept through the whole thing!

Poor girl check out what the humidity does to her bangs...she's gonna hate that when she's older. But at least she has those beautiful blue eyes to make up for it.
After the zoo we took her out riding with Dad...she loved it as usual. And while he was saddling up the horse she rode the calf dummy for a while.
On the morning of her Birthday she got breakfast in bed, a donut and chocolate milk. She loved it and wanted to keep blowing the candle out. She got lots of phone calls from family on her special day and loved going around saying
"Happy Birthday to ME"

No worries Reese loves deer too (probably because it's a word she can actually say well) and don't even get me started on what humidity does to Reese's hair! At least Sadie's has some curl -- Reese's just goes stick straight and she looks like a shaggy homeless child.
Your hair has gotten way long. I love it! I can't believe Sadie is two. Looks like she had a great trip to the zoo. Ben is still adorable and is getting a bit chubby. We love and miss you guys a whole ton.

Kate, I almost cried when I saw this post, Sadie is sooo big, when did she get so big. I think her bangs make her look older, but oh so cute. Ben looks like he's getting chubby already. You look great by the way for having a baby that isn't even a month old..
