Easter Morning!
Abbey got to come down for Easter this year and it was so much fun having her around!
Here are the kids after they finally found their Easter baskets. The Easer Bunny did and really good job hiding them this year. It took a while to find them!
Poor Briggs really doesn't look all that excited in this picture.
This is better, just looks a little sleepy now.
Here they are eating their delicious bunny cinnamon rolls!
Then they got all dressed up and ready to go to church. Of course Mom had to take a million pictures of them in their Easter outfits. Not many of the million pictures turned out that great though :)
Then when they got back in from pictures Dad had found a surprise from the Easter bunny out in the garage (I don't know why I have no pictures of this anywhere, but I know I have it on video) he found a box with 6 baby chicks! The kids were so excited. With the exception of Briggs at least for the 1st day or two and then he warmed up to them and had just as much fun as the other kids did. They loved picking them up and holding them. Sadie named one of the little black ones, Calm because it was the only one that seemed not to worry to much when they would pick it up to hold it. I don't think any of the others ever got names.
After church the Byers and the McCalls came for an Easter egg hunt and Easter dinner, and we had a great time.
We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends to celebrate such a special holiday with us. This year was really nice because Sadie and Ben are getting old enough to really understand why we have Easter and that our Savior died and was resurrected for us so that with repentance and the power of the atonement we too can live again!
